The North Carolina Arts Council announces a new web publication titled Public Art Commissions: An Artist's Handbook. Prepared by Jeffrey York, Director of Public Art & Community Design, the 28-page handbook is available as a downloadable pdf file. The Handbook offers practical advice to artists seeking a public art commission. Sample "calls to artists," letters of proposal, interview questions, budgets, contracts etc. are also a part of the handbook.
